Rainbow Sherbertby banmornComment: Nice colors and composition. Title is apt. 'Somehow' just a fraction more 'depth' to this make it even better in my opinion, but difficult with this macro/level. Just like to see the play on the tips of the petals a little more. |

Banditby moniepennyComment: Nice shot to capture the eye. Is this the natural color? (will check back later to see if you include in your comments). Perhaps a tighter and more 'refined' crop may have helped accentuate the eye even more. Don't mind the selective desaturation, especially with the tabby markings working quite well in b&w, however the 'objects' in the background detract slightly, in my opinion. edit:removed 'TN'Message edited by author 2006-04-21 21:48:38. |

Defianceby ImagineerComment: Great capture. I gave this a 7. 'If only' the colors came through more and a little more light/light play. Still a good capture and shot as is. |

High Wire Actby ImagineerComment: Nice capture, including the beginning of translucence in the 'front' of the caterpillar. Not sure what the other comments are referring to, underneath the top part of the 'wire' is all I can discern, and that may be web or such, who knows. Looks like a natural capture to me. |

Goslingsby ImagineerComment: Nice shot, composition and colors, despite the fairly dominant 'rear'. The fallen blossoms(?) add well. |

Sentinelby ImagineerComment: The focus is good on this (re the comment below). Good capture of the black. It's a male - females and young are brown. Nice shot. |

cribby undieyatchComment: 8 - Nice shot and perspective. Processing and toning work well here. Like the composition. |

Treasures of the pastby sallyjo1Comment: 3 - Whilst this vase looks quite old, if you were able to capture and 'show' the detail in it, would make this much better in my opinion. A more 'dramatic' angle, variation in lighting (especially to bring out the colors and detail/texture), different base (including color choice) and background, would all have made this better in my opinion. There seem to be some jpeg/pixelation issues as well, could be due to resizing or unfamiliarity with post-processing and reducing file size, who knows. |

Holy Weekby MambeComment: I gave this a 6. Thought you captured a candid moment quite well. Colors were good. A little more defined on the boy's face, but difficult with a candid - especially after having read your comment that he was waving to his younger brother, which by the way, I didn't notice the 'wave' during the 'brief voting/viewing' I did do - just thought it was a 'hand movement' of sorts. Perhaps a tighter cropping on the right may have accentuated that, as the girl in the rear, although adds something, draws attention away from him slightly, in my opinion. Of course, the 'younger brother' in frame would have been good but I'm sure you'd have included that if you had it. |
