 How do you rate your best shot? Not easy at all, so I haven't.

The only way I arrived at this one was to eliminate the personal sentiments and self-gratifying artistic shots (that wouldn't score well here) and go for an image that amused, entertained and offered me an insight to a small but no less important world - that of a humble crab.

A version of this shot has been in my portfolio for some time, but I so enjoyed the result of the photo, and the moments leading up to this crab's final stand, that this made it to the top of my pile. It may not meet the DPC 'WOW' factor ratings system, but so be it.

It was taken with a Canon 75-300mm zoom as I rushed around the beach following the poor crab as it was being chased.

In case you're wondering, I ensured that it survived unscathed.

Great capture. I gave this a 7. 'If only' the colors came through more and a little more light/light play. Still a good capture and shot as is.

great timing, to capture something like this makes one wonder if it was a setup, who's looking at the feet of a running kid in the water... must have been a crop from a bigger image :)

very cool capture. good crop. had it been tighter, the idea of these kids being giants would not have been as obvious. The title is cool, but i would have called "En garde", but whatever, 8...no 9
