The Road To Nothingby JulietNNComment: Wow! Great image! This one doesn't even need a title to explain it. Just so empty and alone. The bike really sells the story here. I could see this on the cover of a horror novel, or in the opening scene of a really scary movie.
Very nice work... |

Shooting Snowflakes by StructorComment: Congratulations on the yellow! I was wondering how this image would do in the voting. Strictly speaking, I did not see this as fill flash; as fill flash is normally understood to be a light to fill the shadows where a subject is back-lit.
That being said, I gave you a 9, as it is a very strong image. You definetly captured the feeling of the snowfall. Excellent job all they way around.
I'd love to know how you captured the tracks of the snow, using the flash at 1/200.

Onion to rings by IreneMComment: Congratulations on the well deserved yellow ribbon, and contrary to the nay-sayers, not a water drop in sight!
I think the lighting and depth of field are fantastic. The image illustrates the challenge quite well.
If I were to suggest anything, I think that I might have liked the bottom cropped a little lower. To catch all the reflection of the top twist of the onion. |

Spin Cycle by NeilComment: Very well deserved ribbon. Nice sharp focus, and great depth of field. I really enjoy how you used the long shutter time to capture the motion in the pool. The lighting in this image is great. This belongs in a gallery. |

The Amazing Spider-Manby RingostarrComment: Hoping to hear how this was done, after the end of voting. Very well done. The transition from mask to face is excellent! |

Roman gladiatorsby iyadrallyComment: I'm not sure that these are super powers, so you may be suffering from the literalists in the voting, but I really like the image. Obviously a lot of effort went into this one. The image does look a little over processed. You can see artifacts along the edge of the dark spear. All things considered, I gave you a 7. |
