Ok, I give up! What is the connection to family? I don't see it. Nothing here makes me think of family in the least./ Similar cars does not a family make., On the other hand, well focused and great Dof. Just no family.

I am not sure what is supposed to convey family here. The people on the beach? How do we know they are family? I don't see anything here that conveys the sense of family to me. Not even the birds. The tall grass in front is distracting as well. I find myself looking at the birds and the grass and not even noticing the beach.

What in this picture conveys Family? It is just a shot of roots. What conveys Celtic or being ancient? It is just a shot of roots. Could have been better focused. There also is no central point of view in the shot. I have no idea where to look - I just get lost.

The shot is fuzzy or unclear - like a shadow is over the whole shot or it has been muted with a cloudy layer of some sort.. You can barely see the people in the carriage so it is hard to tell if this really is their 'Sunday Best' as they dress similar every day which wouldn't really matter anyway. I have not been able to see the concept of family in the shot.

I have viewed this 5 times now. I still am having trouble relating this to the challenge. I can see where you wanted to go with your concept, just didn't do it for me. Family does not come to mind. Well composed - yes. Good lighting and creative. Just not for family IMO.

Nice photo - composition and focus are real nice. I even like the reflection. BUT - where is the concept of family? The fact that they are all peppers? Sorry, just fell short even for an OOTB shot, IMO.
