This averagely bad photo does not meet the challenge. Please do yourself a favour, dont waste anymore of your time by submitting photos that dont adhere to the subject matter.. 1 |

| 03/07/2004 04:25:40 AM | Softly Silence Fallsby ScottKComment: ARRRRGGGGGHHH, this is so damn fraustrating...
OK, lets start with the good and positive.. FANTASTIC PHOTO!! I love the simplicity of it, it worked well on my screen as I could only see the top 2 thirds of the pic, I didnt know what to expect as I scrolled down, and the green feather just.... well, worked! I am about mid way through voting and this will easily reach top ten, maybe top five??
OK, now onto the negative.. DONT RELY ON A TITLE TO MAKE A PICTURE FIT THE CHALLENGE! The pics I usually rate highest would not need a title, they would scream SILENCE out to me (is that something of a contradiction in terms?), granted they would be technically good as well, but I am from the old school of DPChallenge, where I think subject should be adhered to, not there as an afterthought. I oh so want to give this a ten, I really do, I love minimilistic work.. Oh f**k it, have a nine this time but take my comments on board.... Nince one!!! 9 marksimms | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 03/07/2004 04:16:12 AM | Shhhh...I thought I saw a puddy cat............I did! I did!by tolovemoonComment: This is a truely great photograph.. I dont think its fair they let professional photographers, such as yourself, enter amateur competitions such as this. The silence in this photo SCREAMS at me. The inquisitive look of the faux bird, cast in lifelike plastic is not only joyous to behold, but touches me in a deep spiritual way. The stony stare of the feline tells of pent up agressive, waiting to unleash his fury upon an unsuspecting world. To mark this picture as a ten would be an injustice to its raw beauty, so to make a statement, I will give it a 2, but rest assured that in my heart, it will always be a winner.. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
