You made a wise choice going for this shot over the colour shot (although the colour shot is also a winner.)

Well done.

oh dear, what looks like a 6 scoring photo has been very poorly post-processed and has dumped it down to a 4.

< a day later>

voted on all the images now and sadly I am going to bump this down another couple of points. it really is one of the weakest images in the challenge. When it comes to photoshop & filters less is most defintely more..

(I like to leave a comment for images I score low to benefit the photographer).

Hi, none too impressed with this entry. The over-sxposure/over-filtering of this image has killed it. Unless I feel the use of a filter benefits the image then I generally dont go too mad for them.

Here there is no detail in the image, granted this would work incredibly well for an illustration, but sadly we are not here to vote on drawings.

Suggestions.. chill out on the photoshop filtering/over contrasting in future, unless you think an image REALLY needs it then dont use it.. Less is most defintely more.

nope, this really doesnt work well at all..

Over-the-top filtered images don't generally tend to do very well on DPChallenge, and I personally dont go mad for them unless

1. they are tastefully done.
2. The filter benefits the photos and isnt there just for the sake of it.

please dont think I am being negative.. When I give a low score I generally like to leave a `constructive` comment to aid the photographer in future challenges. - 2 (sorry)
