This may very well go over like a lead balloon.. but I'm in a wierd mood today. Too many soccer games out in the freezing rain, or something..
my eyes are actually not desaturated, but they are grey today. Some days they are blue, which would have stood out more...

Margie's Goals:
Lead Balloon

;-)

Gotta say though, this has potential. A kick in the contrast might turn out something of great high-key portrait. Give it a shot and post in your portfolio - I'd be happy to see.

hey the effect looks nice! maybe your face and hand is a bit too bright, I miss details there.

Little too soft and washed out. It looks like you were trying to get some focus to the eyes but it somehow missed if that's the case.

The subject is beautiful though and good composition.

I don't think the high key effect worked to the advantage of the photo. The eyes seemed over sharpened. I like the pose. Lovely model.

Faintly here and over there. An interesting push into the first stages of a graphical representation. Very well framed and at least you gave us a good glimpse at the lovely eyes. Bump.

This one takes a minute - it's very subtle. It works though.

So soft and delicate, and I like that effect...

at first I was going to say you clowned too much, but I really like what you have done. The area above your hand is a shade too bright for me and distracts my old eyes but it could be my monitor. Very nice portrate of a beautiful woman.....good luck.

oh dear, what looks like a 6 scoring photo has been very poorly post-processed and has dumped it down to a 4.

< a day later>

voted on all the images now and sadly I am going to bump this down another couple of points. it really is one of the weakest images in the challenge. When it comes to photoshop & filters less is most defintely more..

2 - (sorry!)

I can relate to the clowning aroun with photoshop. I am still learning it. I love the composition of the photo but I am not too keen on the low contrast. I feel it takes away from such a nice photo. I think if you went with high contrast it would make this portrait pop. Just my opinion. This still is a very nice self portrait. Good luck in the challenge.

Very interesting effect - really highlights your eyes and your lips. I like it.

Its good to try new things but, this pp makes you a bit washed out. I'll bet your eyes are dazzling in the original.

Blown on purpose I suppose ...What is that shade above your left eye? I, personally, would have added red to the lips, to make if more powerful, it looks like you face is all flat like this, with some of the curves gone ...

I like it! I really like these high key photos. The composition and focus of this would look great in a traditional style too, but this is really interesting!
