It Runs In The Familyby JudiComment: Hmmmmmm. OK. some good things with this image and a couple of tiny niggles. Lets start with the niggles.
The t-shirts - I would of loved to see plain black here, the logos from the `triumph` tee and the `Harry Potter` Tee are quite distracting, the little guy on the left has his coverd, so not as distracting. Thats all though.. Oh, and maybe lining up the eyes on all the models, but I am being pedantic now. ignore me..
Now, I like the composition, not cropped too tightly or too much space left around the edges. The colour is great, quite dark and moody but works with the backdrop. Lighting is good and not just slapped into the scene, a bit of though has been put in there.. The concept of the photo as a whole works well. The title compliments the shot here, it doesnt drive it.
overall a good solid shot, maybe not a ribbon winner, but certainly a top ten (if there is any justice). I am gonna drop you an 8 here, would of been a 9 but finding those tee's a bit distracting still. well done!! |

San Francisco Love Fest!by Blue MoonComment: OK, has the feel of a candid, but to me is still a portrait. Would of benefitted from sharper focus but lots of atmosphere and fun in here.. 6 |

Flower Child Dayby helloiloveyouuComment: The groundlevel angle here really helps. As much as I am liking the colours here (nothing too pretentious) I would like to of seen this with a bit more contrast, thus meulating those early day colours shots from the late 60s, early 70s. would of really taken this shot back a few years.. overall a strong entry and I reckon it should finish well.. 7 |

At Seventeenby SandyPComment: OK,I am liking the tight crop here, its nice to see someone realise a portrait doesnt have to have the top of the head in. The only minor snag is the BW conversion is a bit flat, but overall a good image.. 8 |
