I like the perspective and the story this tells, but the highlights are too blown for my taste. I hope this isnt your way of 'trying' out your image before entering it for one of the challenges as it usually backfires on you for not remaining anonymous. Shame too as I think it would have worked well for either - with some correction of the highlights being blown

I dont care for the brownish gold coloring along the sides. Might be better if you desaturated. Also, would like to see the bottome edge of the glass instead of cropping it off.

I like wooden steps - I like any kind of steps actually. I would like to have seen more of the steps with more detail in them too. The highlights seem a bit blown or over exposed - and the sharpness a tad bit strong.
