Clematisby admart01Comment: Congratulations for "White Henry" - Never seen one before, nor a clematis quite like this - beautiful specimen. I agree w/ loriprophoto's comment about the way the background works on this - effective use & good result from the conventional black back. Isolates yet merges at the same time. Horizontal image flow accross the full width of the picture plane is wonderful composition. Great score too! |

Smoke and Mirrorsby posthumousComment: As karmabreeze mentioned.... "....blown highlights" have affect on how one views this. I see the smoke conflicting to some extent in highlights with a marvelous quasi-nostalgic colour edit. Not that the effect should have been eliminated, the combined effect appears to be more successful in the black & white outtakes, which I like very much. However I found this portrait deserving at least the 6 I gave it. |

Under the Tableby admart01Comment: ....little fellow a handful. Playful image... an underrated score for this, very fun foto to view. I tagged it 7 with one view in voting. Beautiful presentation, perfect crop & elegant frame for this album gem. I don't see sharpen in your comments, and it looks as if there is little or none - not sure that sharpen can contribute to the intended impressionistic style anyway. A very good entry deserving better voter consideration. |
