Reaching Outby ChikaZAWaComment: Top ten on your second entry...very nice. This is a really nice image, and the placing is well deserved. The toning and the centered composition work very, very well for this photograph. My only critique is that you lost a little pixel data on the right near the bottom during the post-processing. Nothing you could do about it for basic editing, but something to work on if you are looking to print it. Great eye and a terrific capture. Its always good to see the GA photogs up near the top. |

First Rule - No Hands Allowedby espy2Comment: Great expression and interesting subject, but I don't get a strong sense of failure. It looks like he got what he was after. Also, one more light set up to give the hair some detail would have helped out tremendously. |

Failed to withstand the windby iamutopiaComment: The lighting doesn't do this one justice. I know there are some great greens in the shot, but it looks a little too dark. I think a different position that excluded the wet sidewalk would have helped achieve a much better exposure. As it is, that one overexposed spot grabs all the attention. |

Above... Not Beside, Boy!by gsalComment: He looks a little too happy to fit into the category of a failure. Excellent composition and great lighting for this shot. The blurred umbrella doesn't really add anything to the image. Nice work, but better suited for a different challenge. |

Capsized again!by WobbleComment: Nice capture, great focus and good timing. The composition is not bad, but I'd like to see the rest of that sail. |

Failure to captivate today's youthby enasniogComment: I do get a strong sense of failure here, but the lighting needs some work. It look almost backlit from the photograph. If the light were behind you, you'd have a much more powerful capture. Also, the composition is a bit too centered. |

Hunt failureby silviulComment: Now this is a capture of impeccable timing. The focus feels a little soft and I don't quite see the failure. Still, this is a pretty nice image. |

Fade To Blackby PhotonurdComment: Nice low-key shot, but the composition is a bit too centered. I do get an ominous feeling from the positioning of the subject, so I think that it meets the challenge well. |

Blues Brotherby jimnessComment: Very interesting subject choice, but the image doesn't really project failure. I can see that this is obviously a poor man, but I get a feeling that he is good at something, thus not a complete failure. Well seen, and I like the selective desaturation that you produced. |
