How did you aquire that mixer? My best friend has a stove in her kitchen from 1951...it's baby blue and oh so fun. You've just reminded me that I must photograph it. |
The mixer was my father-in-laws, he, I think, "liberated" it from a closed down diner in Philly...so the story goes. I just LOVE fifties kitchen stuff, actually mid century stuff in general...so much fun to photograph! |

Supremum Vale - The Last Goodbyeby reddustComment: I must honestly say everytime I see another one of these "suicide" images I ask myself "why?"...they're all vaguely unsettling but bordering on cliche and trite...an easy "shock" if you will...at least you didn't depict someone who has blown their head off...like my cousin did...
I just wish people would think before entering an image like this...you are entitled to enter what you wish...it's just that everytime I see another "tragic suicide" picture...I roll my eyes and thoughts of my cousin enter my mind, a sadness I'm not fond of revisiting...thanks. |

Life Aquaticby TerramarComment: It's funny how when a somewhat "normal/regular" image gets fliped it becomes something so completely different...this is absolutely surreal, otherworldly even...so subtle but absolutely intriguing...wonderful depth. |
