These shots are so difficult to do, I know because I tried and threw them all out! I would have kept one like this though. The trunk in the foreground adds some great perspective.

Thank you to all for the great comments about my photograph. Some of you appreciated the time and effort taken to get this shot. I froze at this spot for 5 hours and took dozens of photos in all sorts of light. I felt it was important to include Mount Ranier, in fact, I thought that it was, as one of you said, the icing on the cake. But it was a double edged sword. If I had cropped it, I might have taken 2nd place! LOL
