Howdy Amit,

IMO your shot meets the challenge quite well.

The shot is really interesting. There are many interpretations and thought you can derive from the shot. I tend to look at is as an adventure of travel. Plowing through the rain/fog to somewhere unseen. This mood is wonderful.

The shot itself is set-up perfectly. Rule of thirds, to me, is excellent. The bus being 1/3, the road 1/3 with the nice curve, and the cliff wall the last 1/3. My eye follows the road and curve (the subject) and bus and wall lead my eye to the road. I like this. especially with the fog and wetness.

The colors and shading are right on. The light spot in the sky with the tree are nice modifiers. The more I look the better I like your shot.

IMO I see no negatives in this shot. Too bad you didn't get a ribbon, but you will if you keep it up. Great shot and look forward to seeing future shots.

Have a Great 2004.

Van

Hi David,

I was out all last week, so I didn't have a chance to vote on vehicles, so I at least have yours.

First, no doubt your shot meets the challenge well.

Your shinny plane is cropped perfectly. The eye is led nicely to the engine (subject) with very little distraction. Your dof and sharpness are very good, and fit the shot. The shinny chrome reflections are really nice, no reflection distractions to move the eye off the subject. I really like the modifiers and there locations, i.e. the window, exhast, and round antenna?. They give an opportunity to really study the plane. If you used flash, you did it well. If not, you didn't need it. So light was done quite nicely.

Overall, you diserved the high score you received and you should be proud of this wonderful image. I hope this slap on the back doesn't hurt.

Have a Great 2004 and looking forward to more great shots.

Van

I like the idea, but the angle bothers me. I'd like to see the barn.

FYI, I was stuck in Albuquerque all week and this is all I could come up with in my hotel room. I ate Pete too.
