Bread from Grain, not a Machineby hyperfocalComment: Excellent detail in the bread. To make it more interesting, I'd probably place it on a bread board, warm up the general tone of the photo, and maybe even add some wheat sheafs (dried florals at most craft places.) But don't listen to my compositional insights, because my scores are generally really low so maybe for this group, it would have been too much detail. |

Clear Soupby e301Comment: Very good use of light to give the transparent look of clear soup. The use of the spoon to catch more light further enhances the kind of food you are depicting here. Good use of materials. |

Cheesy Chicken and Mushroomsby javamooseComment: I am sure this tastes really good. I have discovered though that anything creamed doesn't ordinarily do well with viewers. Lots of people out there who can't even look at creamed stuff, let alone eat it. I hope you do okay, but a different recipe may have given you a better score. |

Grilled All-American Burgerby edmengComment: I liked the general presentation. The vegetables and cheese on a toasted bun was very appetizing looking, and the grill as a background was a very nice touch. Whatever that stuff is on the right, though, kind of wrecks the picture for me. It may be hamburger being run through a grinder, but it does nothing for the overall image. |

Dessert- Chocolate Lovers Bewareby Sunshine86Comment: Chocolate is always a fine subject. With this image, though, I don't get a sense of chocolate. Anyway, a different angle may have done the trick, like maybe a side view with chocolate dripping down the edge. The color could also be adjusted to look more brown than black, so color balance adjustment would have helped. LIghting needs to be done in such a way that it enhances the chocolate to give it a more smooth appearance. |

Pork and pineapple stir fryby p2jvrComment: Image is clear enough and shows a lot of food detail. I would have liked to see a better presentation than just a close-up. |

Smoked Salmon & Asparagus Fettucineby AryellaComment: Your wine came out very clear. The actual food seems too soft. There is very little detail in texture. Maybe another light source reflecting onto the food, but out of the camera view, would have given the food more light to separate the items better. |

Chicken-On-A-Beer-Canby hideoutComment: I have heard this is really good prepared this way. Not a very appetizing image as it exists now. I think it would have been better without the background items also vying for the attention of the eye. |
