Bucket Tree, Cuba Mall, Wellingtonby kari1Comment: Sorry that I did not put my steps on my image that you looked at. Anyway, on this one, the colors are very vibrant, but there is alot of blown out highlights. Cropping various aspects out of the image ( and that takes some doing and redoing) may make the image more simple. Unfortuneately, I have been trying to simplify but it still isn't enough. My subjects just don't cut it. |

"owl" and woodpeckerby BeetleComment: The focus looks fine to me. I am exploring the use of the burst mode in my camera. If you also have one (I am sure you do) then to get some really nice interaction, such as the woodpecker banging on the owl, use it for continuous shooting and you could get some really nice action out of it. |

Aging Iconby SJCarterComment: Ah yes, I recognize the subject. I think this is actually a better filtering attempt then the time you did it under Seth Warrior was it? Anyway, this looks extremely artistic, almost like a painting, and the mossy overlay gives it a very aged look. Very nicely done. |

the road to Mordorby DanSigComment: Awesome image. Looks very convincing. I love the color saturation on this one, and the sky is very Thomas Moore style. |

the dockby cadbikeComment: Very sharp. The wood detail is excellent, and the water does not have the broken look that many images of water do. Nice job. |

The Mansionby rhipsterComment: House appears to be tilted but that can be righted pretty easy. I like the moodiness of the dark, bleak landscape. |

Eye Contact by jjbeguinComment: Congrads on your win. I thought this photo was great. Reminded me of some of the photos I have been looking at as I viewed other photographers work for the tribute challenge. This is timeless, and works on many levels. |

Summer Love: Please Don't Leave Meby hotpastaComment: Keep on trying. It is probably true that some felt it did not single out enough, though there are a number of images that only had one subject in it without the crowd. I think maybe a bit closer would have helped, and a bit better focus. |

Hummingbird Mothby DrakeComment: This is one hard guy to get. I know, I have tried. Nice stop action, but even so it still came out a bit too soft in focus. The leaf on the bottom seems to really be sharply focused, so
I am trying to figure out why the flowers didn't come out as sharp. Maybe a smaller aperture opening would have given the flowers just as much clarity. |
