your comment is appreciated!by crayonComment: Very cute. Technically image was well done. No problems there. Needless to say, I have to put it up against other images, so I can't score an otherwise great image more than a 7 |

VEO VEOby mimoComment: Great idea, but image is way out of focus and overexposed. A less light background may have kept some of the overexposure out of the way. Then there is always cropping. |

Where the Hell did I put that Damned Lens Cap?by xianartComment: I've done that too. Sometimes I am so stupid that I will actually retrace my steps, even if it means walking a mile, then pray to Saint Anthony, and there it appears in my pocket, even if I swear I checked it 3 times. |

NOOOOO!!!!!by Mr_XComment: A ha. Boy can I relate. I can't tell you how often I lose a lens cap because I am next to a stream or lake, and plop, there it goes. Definitely hits all of us. |

"Detectives Prestige Continues"by espy2Comment: Very cool shot. I think if I had voted on the challenge (which I didn't) I would have liked this one pretty well, but I am an artsy type anyway. You are right about the general opinions of most dpcers. They don't appreciate an artistic bent to photos, which is a shame, but I still want to do artsy shots anyway, and will continue to do so. I have noticed I vote a bit differently from most. I don't always choose 10s for the winning images. This one I would have probably given an 8 to. The one thing that might actually create a definite poster feel is if the background was changed to say maybe red. Then it would have a more pro feel to it. |

Wonderfallby moniepennyComment: Very good at masking out the distracting garbage. I do the same thing. I think that your image was fairly well composed, and I know you tried to slow down the water by using a slower shutter. It did cause the water to be overexposed. I finally got a neutral density filter for my camera, and now I can get those soft water shots without any exposure problems. If you can't attach a screw in variety, sometimes just getting one and holding it in front of the camera lens is all you need to do. Another trick on getting macros with a point and shoot is buying a magnifying glass and using it on the subject you are trying to get. That works pretty well too. |

Feeding Timeby elee3009Comment: Very neat shot. It looks as if you did black and white on the surrounding parts of the image. Like the way you handled the shot by doing that. Makes for a much more focused and less busy image. |

O'rngby dcanoComment: Very strange color. Did you use duotone treatment? Not sure I care too much for this combination for this image. The composition is really a good perspective shot, though. |

serenityby danica22Comment: Very simple. I really like the red tone to the rocks in the background. a little dark around the bottom of the boat, but otherwise pretty clean shot. I'd like to see a bit further distance from the boat. Some of the more successful rowboat shots have been taken with less boat taking up the composition. |
