Day 2 SEE ROCK CITY Signsby TCGuruComment: I love to see unique qualities of your area. The image has a nice focal point with the red birdhouse. I think a bit taken off the top would make the image even stronger. Like the tree it rests against, too. Would like to see more of that part of the photo, but that is my own opinion. |

Day 2 - My Houseby SweetlittlepixieComment: Great tones and colors. You might need to straighten the composition a little. It is hard to decide where to straighten because your lens distorted the image a bit, making it hard to get nice straight lines. I would start with the roof first, then see how the rest of the image is affected, then go from there. |

Day 2by renegade1966Comment: Nice way to get a good composition to hide an obstruction. Anyway, the church is a very good subject. I am not good with architectural shots so can't give you many hints. I would recommend trying to see if Bear_Music can give you some tips on getting better building shots. That was the kind of photographer he used to be.
My opinion, composition is really good, but a bit more contrast in your highlights and shadows would give the image a bit of snap. Also, if you have a dodge function on your editing, you might try to dodge a bit of the front to make better detail on the doors . |

Day 2 - Pigeon Houseby Bruce_the_RobertComment: Okay, you may have oversharpened the image a bit. Makes it appear a little rough. I notice you used a zoom lens. You may have needed a slightly longer shutter, like maybe 1/400th or so. The iso could also be adjusted to perhaps 400 which would make the image a bit clearer. I like the sky, but would like a bit less cyan. Anyway, the composition is done well. However, the pigeons do seem a bit lacking in detail. I too am working considerably with a zoom lens about the same as yours, and it is definitely a test of will to get really great images with the zoom. Maybe you and me can just stick to that one lens and see about improving our abilities as we learn what works best for our zooms. |

Pool Tableby jdannelsComment: Nice angles and composition. Really like the black on white. I like this one better compositionally then your first one. This has more snap and contrast. |

Commuteby RetroesqueComment: Not to glary, which is often a problem with images from dusk or later. I like the person sitting on the dock. Think that he could be a bit better represented to give the image more perspective and a human sense. |

DAY 2 . where i live ... lookin down my roadby rozComment: The image seems a bit dark on my monitor. It does make for a different sort of abstract with the extreme shallow dof. Sky is not overexposed at all. It is an interesting image with the muted colors in the background. I would probably do a bit more dodging on the fence, or perhaps use a layer to lighten the image, than overaly the darker one and erase at a transparency of around 60 to start, just to see if you could get more detail on the fence. |

Where I Live (2)by SandyPComment: I can see you sitting with a cup of iced tea at the table. Anyway, nice and warm looking. Watch your lines, though, in processing. You might need to straighten at times, and this one probably could use a bit of compositional straightening. |

Day 2 - The Road To Nowhereby xXxscarletxXxComment: Nice muted tones. I like the detail on the road. Looks definitely isolated. I would only take some time later on to clone out the wires against the sky to make the hill in the distance stand out with few distractions. |
