Dinerby AliciaComment: Great interior shot. Your tones are awesome. Black and white covers up the yellow light which occurs frequently in these shots left in color. Like the black and white much better. |

Day 7 - Mayflower II Riggingby CapeSailComment: Like the dark lines against the sky, but image is too busy to focus on any one aspect. I have tried rigging shots and I have looked at many and though they are a unique aspect of our culture, I haven't liked too many of the shots I have seen. I guess the way I like it best is with ice hanging off the lines with really gusty winds. |

Day 1 - Hunter in the Gardenby Bruce_the_RobertComment: Cute cat. I do like the color one better for this one, though. You have some nice tones in the fur pattern, but the orange against the green is what really brings this photo out the best. |

Day 2 - Group, Sittingby Bruce_the_RobertComment: Wow, love this. The hair styles say so much about today. This is a great shot to depict what is happening today with teens. It is a classic moment in time capture. You should be very proud of this one. |

Out of the Fog Beauty Is Revealedby JunieMoonComment: The Story: I had a hard time with a title, because what I was really going for with the combination could not be conveyed in a title without total confusion. So here is the real title and the story:
Title: Going Home
I was actually talking about the ducks in this case. To the right they are swimming into the pond, and as they swam they went past the web. It was lovely because they were small and very hidden in the fog, but it was lovely. I could not shoot that image because then you would not have seen the web. I chose this combination because I wanted the eye to naturally follow the ducks into the next frame without using an overlap. I believe this was achieved, but you have to be willing to really look into the image. The third panel is the home they are swimming to. That is actually a nesting box for ducks, and this couple live there. So since dp folks don't really spend time viewing an image to really get what its significance is, I used the common theme of fog to connect the images, which is more anal, but that is the way it goes.
Unfortunately it did not do as well as I hoped. I feel that once you read the real story, you will see that this image is truly wonderful. Thanks for those that felt this should have been in at least the front page. Sorry I could not deliver once again. Message edited by author 2007-05-07 06:47:18. |

Sammiby NeuferlandComment: Think the pp left a bit to be desired. It is a good technique to use, but not for this type of image. |

Say Cheeeeeese!by photobarbComment: Sorry, don't like the pp on this one. Makes the dog look very strange and unattractive. Should have added a bunch of cards in its paw, with maybe a cigarrette burning and a highball glass. That would have worked better with this style of image. |

Clock Towerby jackal9Comment: Very newspaper photo feel. The grain bothers me alot. I think less sky may be in order for this shot, or maybe you could compress the sky a little to retain the white area, but a little closer to the dome. |
