First Chance at Motherhoodby SandyPComment: That is such a great shot! Blur or no blur, I love the expression on the little girl's face, and the kitten is beautifully sharp. B&W works extremely well here. Sweet, sweet work. |

textures of playby annigComment: Very cool. I was thinking it would make a good silk print for a full skirt -- not that anyone wears full skirts anymore. |

bear.jpgby electrolostComment: I'm with the others. I see a deer not a bear. Quibble, quibble, quibble... Interesting shot and use of that white background. (Negative space?) |

SD16: Will It Go Round In Circlesby cginoComment: Great shot -- I love how only his body is in focus with the motion blur in the background and his disappearing legs. Great capture.
Just a suggestion, but you might up the contrast a smidge and make him stand out more. |

Swwwwwwooooooooshby SandyPComment: Super!!! Just having the hood in focus makes this look like something surging out of the water. |

Past sits with presentby sabphotoComment: Very cool capture -- sort of social commentary meets street photography on the beach.
I can see why you went for the desat, but IMNSHO I'd rather see pure B&W or the original color (depending on what it looks like). I think this is because while the girl's kimono and obi are colorful, they aren't that colorful and she doesn't stand out a whole lot from the background. (I said this was my NSHO!)
It' an above average shot. Good work. |

Waiting for a Bus One Nightby banmornComment: Coos shot. Only one quibble -- if it's night, it should be a tad darker. I know, I've been hanging around the DNMC crowd too much. ;) |

Chasing Pigeonsby SandyPComment: Seriously cool. I like how the bird and the stuff in the upper right is in focus and not the little girl. Good b&w, too. |
