Contemplationby NatatorComment: An amazing picture - a portrait that would make any parent (or photographer)proud. For me, this should ribbon, in an extremely competitive crowd. 10. |

Cautionby MatthewComment: Many thanks to those who voted and especially to those who commented. The "huge bird or rocket on the distant roof" is Sir Norman Foster's Swiss Re Tower, or the "Gherkin", as it is affectionately known! |

Eye "Q" by MatthewComment: Originally posted by itzabitritzy: You see that big circle thing...with the sort of 'slash' in the bottom right quarter? Well, in the American Alphabet that makes a 'Q'. |
Without wishing tpo be fussy, I am not sure it is just the American alphabet (if there is such a thing)... But agreed: hopefully a big "Q" for all to see. Thanks all for the further nice comments!

Sea Shell MEby StagoleeComment: Great pic, congrats on finish! My eye is drawn immediately to the pebbles rather than the shell - maybe a lower brightness would have helped retain attention better (highlights on the rocks are a little distracting). |

Last Letter Against Wavesby gciboComment: Congrats on high fnish. Great "Z"! Horizon is slightly hazy to me - on my Konica 400KZ I get a haze that I can lose with autolevels. Distance haze seems to me to be more pronounces and problematic with smaller lenses, such as P&S - hard to lose in basic editing. For level horizon, in PS, click and hold the eye dropper tool and select the ruler tool - align a line along the horizon and select edit/rotate/arbitrary - the correct rotation will appear in the box for you automatically! |

V/Yby arbil14Comment: Great natural find. Good finish - Congrats! Contrast on subject is absolutely great - love it!
Border is not nice - especially funny blur on bottom and RHS. Bokeh great, though bright branches in background detract slightly for me. |
