I'm not sure what you were going for here... The busy background is very distracting and makes everything seem tilted. I'm sure there's a story behind the shot, but it didn't convey itself very well to me. Sorry. 4

I like what you were going for here, but I don't think you quite made it. Good DOF and composition, but the focus is just not sharp enough on the blade with the beads of water. I think it might have been more effective with some burning of the highlights in the background and if it had been presented in color.

Focus is off, horizon is tilted, and should have cropped out the distracting person/leg on the right. However, I can appreciate the emotion captured here and the fact that he and the ball are both off the ground. With a little editing, I think you could have improved this shot dramatically. As it stands, I've gotta give you a 4.
