Summer Song by charmayneComment: Very emotional shot. Great DOF and composition. The white hairs and background may be a little blown out IMHO, but not a big factor with such a great capture. 8 |

Simian Solitudeby aboutimageComment: Great idea and good DOF on the foreground. I like your composition, but think that if the gorilla was a little more visible the image might have a stronger impact. As it is, he/she is almost lost - and I realize that conscious artistic choices were made to "hide" him/her in the "jungle" as would be found in the real world, but I think you could still get that point across with a little more visibility. Still, it's a very powerful image - full of emotion. Nice job. |

Who's zooming who?by JinjitComment: Cute capture, but it seems overprocessed to me. The contrast is turned up so high that you can't see the animal's eye or mouth and the highlights are blown out. It's a nicely composed shot and I love the boy's expresion, but the overprocessing is distracting IMHO. |

Melancholyby cajayComment: Was this shot through glass? There appears to be almost a film over the whole image. Don't get me wrong - it's a fantastic shot. Beautiful composition and priceless expression. The highlights are a little strong on the wood too. BUT, these are very minor points about a really great capture. 8 |

I Sure Wish I Had a Hugby SandyPComment: This is a spectacular image - beautifully composed! One thing that distracted me (and it may be that I'm imagining it) is that the face looks very processed. It's so soft (almost airbrushed) compared to the wonderful DOF everywhere else. Maybe it's the breed of monkey, but I don't think so. Still, a fantastic shot. 8 |

Yertle the Turtleby SonifoComment: Beautiful natural colors and great DOF on the turtle's head & legs. Only distractions to me (and it's a very minor thing) are the hot spot on the turtle's back and the DOF at the back of the little guy. Still, a wonderful & beautifully composed shot! 9 |

Follow Your Noseby dixonp1Comment: Absolutely beautiful colors - almost surreal. I like the soft focus, but IMHO it's a tad overprocessed. Only a minor point with such a fantastic shot. Great job. 9 |
