Very cool image, but I think it's almost too much motion blur on the water. It does create an amazingly smooth, fluid surface texture though. Very original and creative. Maybe a little more color in the greens?

Great composition and I think the frame works well. What doesn't work well IMHO is the lighting - seems to wash out much of the clarity and textures in the shot. Still a very pleasing image to the eye.

A Different Perspective - Feathers

LOL - funny angle. You've got good definition I think, but the white background and lighting wash out a lot of it IMHO. Difficult to appreciate the feathers variety of textures because of the glare. I also think you could move the subject to one side more to make it more interesting.

Good shot - well composed. Shows a lot of texture and DOF. Unfortunately though, it just doesn't grab my attention like I think it could. Not sure exactly what it is (the bland colors - but that's the right color for a mushroom) - I can't seem to put my finger on it. Maybe it's just persona taste. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a good shot. I just don't think it's an 8-9. 6

Bumpy and Smooth

Good idea, but I think it lost something in the execution. The DOF is good in spots, but I think you'd have been better off starting the clarity at the bottom (closest points) of the shot. I also think you could zoom in closer. Still, nice colors and creative idea.

Nice composition and color. Good use of the shadow to balance the image. Seems to lack some clarity though and is a bit grainy. The lighting is also a little harsh - I think a softer, warmer light source might add to the appeal of the image. Still, it looks delicious!
