Necking In The Shadowsby sajinComment: This is such a cool capture! Tack sharp focus with good DOF too. My only suggestion would be that the color tones could be bumped up a hair. The composition is outstanding. Great job. |

Contrasting Viewsby ccaseyComment: Great composition here. The viewer can instantly ascertain that there was an argument or some other contact/conflict here resulting in someone leaving. Surprisingly emotive shot. Love the shadows and somewhat muted color tones. Very nice work. |

Wheat Harvestby CLarson557Comment: This is simply outstanding. The more I examine it, the more I appreciate all that apparently went into it. Great choice of placement of the darker chaffs and placing the lightest in the center balances it nicely. The little details here really make this image spectacular. The fact that the wheat is in front of the border line (which also works surprisingly well - perfect color choice), the tack sharp focus, the leading lines... What else can I say. Fantastic work. IMHO one of the best in the challenge. |

Beach Walkby davidbedardComment: Interesting composition and I think the border works, but the horizon seems tilted to me. The lean of the buildings is distracting. I think the highlights are also a little strong, but you've got good focus & DOF. |

Bellezza e Luceby Keith ManiacComment: I think I recognize this model... ;-) Great pose and contrasting tones here. Ya know, the highlights are right on the edge of being blown, but because the blacks are so dark they actually work. Really nice crop - and I love her lips! Very strong entry. |

Hanging Flowersby indy79Comment: Great lines and perspective. Like the title too. Really don't care for the border - to me it's more of a distraction than a beneficial element to the overall image because of the stark black and white lines (neither of which tones can actually be found in the shot). Still strong entry. |

Station 5by pinbokeshattaComment: This is really cool. Love the vivid color tones. My only minor criticism is that it's off horizontally (just a bit, but still noticeable). Otherwise, great entry. |

The fallsby cabaComment: I think I've seen this landscape before (but I don't recall off-hand who shot it). Anyway, it's still beautiful. I think you got some great tonal ranges here, but the sky is a distraction. I actually think the image would be stronger with a tighter crop on the top - eliminating the buildings, sky, forest, etc. Still, this is a very strong entry and a shot that I think is beautiful. |

Light The Tower Orange- A University of Texas Winning Traditionby HornOUBetComment: Really incredible clarity for a night shot this far away. Love the color tones and focus. The angle seems a bit off to me though - not far enough off horizontal to be artistic and not close enough to horizontal to be straight. Know what I mean? Anyway, I still like the image and think it's a strong entry. |

Sophisticatedby idnicComment: Great high key feel to a very visually appealing shot. Love the crop and the dark eye. Nice job. |
