Gum Dropsby CEJComment: Ya know... This image has stuck with me since it first appeared in the challenge (I scored it a 9 btw). I thought it was such a creative use of processing, that I've tried several times to mimic it myself (including a version of my "Crop Circles" shot). I just haven't been able to duplicate the pleasing quality you achieved in this image though. The tones you chose are the key - I'm sure. Just wanted to let you know how much this particular shot influenced me. It's a fantastic example of how you can make the otherwise mundane remarkable. Kudos to you for an outstanding piece of work! |

Chocolate Kissby StrikeslipComment: I just went back to this image because it was posted in a forum thread and hadn't realized it was you Slippy! LOL I should have known! I thought (and still think) that this was a GREAT take on the Dairy challenge. I scored it a 9. Anyone who is willing to go through that deserves a decent score! It's actually a very cool shot in it's own right too. Good composition, crop, color, & focus. Keep it up! |

Ghosts of Winterby NeilComment: IMHO, this is a beautiful abstract. I have no idea what the actual subject is, but the effects of the camera movement and processing are very visually pleasing. The tonal range is very complimentary and supports the "winter" theme well. The composition is also excellent. I really like it!!! |

Beauty Is In...by TranquilComment: This is a really good shot. I agree with some of the other comments. I think that if you blurred out the rest of the eyebrow, it would allow the viewer to concentrate more on the eye. Great focus and DOF. I really like the color and eye reflection too. I would also suggest removing the red vein lines in the eye - could use burn/dodge brush to lighten the areas or clone them out. I also think that a single line border is more than enough in a shot that is this minimalistic and high key. The double line detracts from the image IMHO. A very good shot! |

08-20-05-036.jpgby fixedintimeComment: Very cool capture! You've got good focus and DOF, but the colors seem a little washed out due to the bright light. Have you considered burning this a tad? It might bring out some richer, deeper tones and make the image pop a lot more. Just a suggestion. Again, very cool as is! |

Blue Beauty - closedby cpanaiotiComment: Really nice detail and composition. The lighting is a little bright IMHO - have you tried burning this a tad to deepen the tones? It might make it really pop! |
