self portrait on the riverby taterbugComment: This is terrific! So sharp - and I love the composition and processing! The pose looks a tad staged, but I still like this a lot. Great shot. |

What dwells behind that tough facade?...by taterbugComment: Very personal (almost intimate) shot - you can tell that immediately. I really like the focus & crop. You really captured a powerfully emotional moment. Not sure I'm a big fan of the overall tint of the image - seems a little "rosy" for the mood, but I that's a personal choice and you obviously know him much better than I. :-) Great shot. |

The old-fashioned scent of a womanby GentleSoulComment: I really like what you were trying to achieve here. Beautiful, soft, delicate, and pretty. From your comments, sounds like you learned a lot already - great! For whatever it's worth, I scored this a 5, for basically the same reasons. Technically it's pretty good, it just didn't quite do what I think it could have. :-) |

deer_2.jpgby GentleSoulComment: Fun pose! LOL The outdoor lighting was a little harsh, but it's a great capture. |

stuck in the middleby philupComment: Wow, what a vibrant shot! Very crisp too - almost looks 3D. Sorry I missed voting this challenge. |

Pink Kalanchoe #2by GentleSoulComment: You're giving that super macro setting a workout, but it's paying off! Good job. I think this one could use a bump in color and some burning to lose the washed out/blown out areas, but otherwise nice shot. |

Pink Kalanchoe #4by GentleSoulComment: Not quite as strong as your other one, but still a great shot! (This is a good series.) The focus and shallow DOF work really well. The colors seem a little muted/washed out - you might consider burning a bit to deepen the hues/make them richer. Beautiful shot. |
