 And the item is.... probably not too hard to guess, but I thought it might make an interesting photo for this challenge. It's the jar from my blender.

The setup: Placed the blender jar on a dark green surface, propped it up at a 45 degree angle with one hand (it didn't want to stay up against anything), and shot the photo while using my knee as a tripod. I'm surprised I got one as clear as this (sharpening didn't do enough for the remaining blur, so I didn't use it). Next time, I have to drag out my tripod.

Photoshop work: Very minor cropping and brightness/contrast adjusting.

Never would have guessed blender... Love the lighting and shapes of the shadows. Very interesting shot in an abstract way.

I would have never guessed this was a blender, thought it was a ceiling fan. I didn't vote on this challenge wish I had I really like this image. Nice job on the lighting.
