Going Homeby mia67Comment: First thought - the woman has no head. Second thought: lucky kid. I like the lack of color but the puller is featureless and headless. Intentional? Not sure but a little jarring. Haven't figured out if it is in a good way yet - the title opposes - that is, I would expect a warm and fuzzy feeling rather than a distant one from the mother and home part. |

i saw a skull instead of my faceby sherComment: my first reaction is: hmmm, pretty cool. Might be cooler in high contrast black and white. My second thought is: Hmm. This is Sher's - how can I every find anything not to like? My third though it: Yeah, but I still find the color distracting. |

4378web.jpgby mpetersComment: I like the lights and the darks. I like the shadows most of all. The frame bugs me as does the wing in her head. But, it is a cool shot in that the POV is not usual, the tonal values are not usual, and the composition is not usual. Makes me look but I don't slober over it. |

DSC_0203-oldladyin-purplesi.jpgby alexjackComment: I like the colors. I like the slight movement. I think you could crop either one side or the other (left or right) to make the movement aspect even stronger (moving in or out of the frame). Well seen! |

Hybrid Tulipby GreetmirComment: lovely colors. Not too hot on the framing but I rarely like frames anyway. Some of the detail is blown out on the tulip - just slightly bothersome. |

Tiny Soap Bubbles_2by IreneMComment: Was browsing through your images. Noticed you have an amazing clarity in your studio work (didn't check out the others as the studio work is so strong it captured my attention). While your studio images don't really tell a story, they have a sense of time and urgency that lifts them above average studio work. You are excellent with color rendering as well which greatly enhances what might otherwise be just another drop shot. Anyway, just wanted to drop you a note to let you know I admire what you are able to accomplish in the studio and, if I am lucky at all, I may someday have half the skill you do. |
