Peaceby charmayneComment: The bird and the stick just happened to land in the perfect place for this photograph? No, I think you have an eye for finding the perfect place for the strongest composition. Most people just pick out a couple of things to focus on when composing but you hit them all - the light, the bird, the stick, the water, the shadow... nothing else but a 10 will do. Wait, and a fave so I can remind myself of what a thinking photographer does. |

Sin Cityby Shutter-For-HireComment: Hmmm. I'm surprised. I really like this. I think part of it is the reflections and the light bouncing off the car. The scene behind the car is irrelevant to me as you did an amazing job with the car. Not sure how, but i'd really love to know how you did it. 9 |

Dueling Goldfinchsby rodfulkComment: I think your equipment failed you here. You have excellent timing, a good composition, and great colors, but you seem to have been too far away to capture the scene without cropping it way too far. It might be time to upgrade as it appears you have an eye for photography. |

Keswick Illustrated: Physical Appealby jessy_pesceComment: Okay. Now, I'm hoping that you knew what was on the board behind you. If not, oh well. If so, I would have had my model try a different expression on her face. The two just do not go together at all. It is very well photographed - the toning, sharpness, dof and composition is perfect. But, the incongruity, and not in a good way, really takes away from it. 7 |

A Whales' Fingerprintby ButterflyGirlComment: Hey! I recognize that whale! Actually, I don't, but I thought it sounded good. anyway, having been hunting for whales, I know how extremely difficult it is to shoot them, particularly on a bobbing boat. And this one is sharp, well focused, with a good composition and colors. 7 |

Dessert Decadence!by ralfwComment: Not a fan of food photography as around here, it doesn't usually look edible. But I think you've done well keeping out the color casts and getting it sharp enough for interest. The composition isn't the strongest, but it still looks good enough to eat. |

Aerobatic Precisionby bobonacusComment: Wow. That was my first thought when this opened. Its like they are coming right for me. Not sure if what wows me is their precision or yours, but your impeccable timing, DOF, sharpness and colors really push this to the top. Impressive. 9 |

On Rombald's Moorby e301Comment: I like the cut out silhouette feel. I think the subject is strong enough to sustain it. 7 |

Early Frostby essayComment: This is very pretty. IR? Love the detail in the trees and I think you composed very well. Don't like the frame but that's a personal choice. 8 |
