The bird and the stick just happened to land in the perfect place for this photograph? No, I think you have an eye for finding the perfect place for the strongest composition. Most people just pick out a couple of things to focus on when composing but you hit them all - the light, the bird, the stick, the water, the shadow... nothing else but a 10 will do. Wait, and a fave so I can remind myself of what a thinking photographer does. |

the driftwood and the seagull are excellent focal points, especially lit by the setting sun - but the choice of hues and the muddy nature (pixelation) of the sky bring down the score a bit |

I held a piece of paper up to tthe screen to see what it would do if you cropped it to just above the horizon. I think you would like it. The leading line on the tide drags your eyes that way. the grainy blue that you have in the cloud would go away and not distract from the peaceful scene ypu have here. I like what you have done though, the branch and the bird just make this shot amazing |

Love the intense blues. That single bird and the wavy stick is a nice touch. |
