The Shoes Sentinel

I don't understand why you added the candle and the haning thing. Simple is much better. Crop out the left half and it would greatly improve your composition. The focus should be the dogs expression, which would make this a winning image. A lower point of view may improve it just a touch. I don't mean to be harsh but this image has a lot of great things going for it - the perfect subject (the shoes and the dog) with extraneous details than take away from its charm. So, I'm covering up the left side and working from there. The image is just ever so slightly out of focus. Except for the purple cast on the left side, the lighting is pretty good. I like the way the dog and the shoes are composed. 7 - good luck in the challenge.
