Bendby SJCarterComment: very subtle. Almost forces one to get closer and closer - like a whisper. the line is perfect, toning wonderful. |

Old Europeby LevTComment: I like this. It is and it isn't. It has a sense of history hidden in the wavering feel - like I'm looking across time. well conceived. composition a little odd - the monument is almost overwhelming the figure who is getting ready to be attacked by an alien from the future...Its all unsettling, but if he's lucky, he will make it through the portal in time...tones excellent. thanks for letting me look! |

DUCK !!!by MAKComment: The colors make this image work for me. Your lighting is wonderful, the composition strong, darks and lights well played, but I love the almost jarring magenta tones that really make one stop and contemplate. Great choice of an unusual color for duotone. |

prodigyby tateComment: Its funny, the first thing that popped into my head was religion based, christian in particular. She's standing on the 'cross' somewhat embracing it with joy by the way she's holding her hands... at any rate, I think the composition works well and the toning is well done. Good luck in the challenge... |

The Fountainby Five_SeatComment: I usually hate images of other peoples art work. But here, the artwork is just a shadow for the light to bounce off of. Rather than being static, as images of statues usually are, this one is full of life and movement. Very well done. For me, the composition is not very strong but you really did a great job with the tonal range. |

Melanieby JessiComment: I like the grain. I also think you did a great job editing it. I can't explain why it didn't score better; I don't understand voters... |

Dreams of Freedomby freakin_hilariousComment: I thought for a while on this image trying to think of what the heck was going on. I wasn't able to return while voting - sorry for that - and to comment. I figured out that I don't need to know what, who, where, or anything. I just need to appreciate it for what it is. I love the echo of the blacks and the shapes here. I love your post processing. I love what I can't see and what I think I see. Beautiful image... |

Gentle Soulby JutildaComment: I'm thrown a little by the shadowed border but I think the image itself is wonderful, particularly the colors and the touch of blur/glow. |
