Baglady at Sunriseby CuttoothComment: Among a sea of potentially exploitative street candids, this has a bit of interesting context. Thank you for deemphasizing the subject and adding an interesting scene. The framing from the trees along the top edge works well. |

Sunday's eveningby the99Comment: This is an interesting scene, but the centered comp adds nothing. Loose the lamppost on the right and tighten this up a bit. |

Waitingby sfaliceComment: Interesting scene, but the angle/composition is neither here nor there. Make a statement with perspective, get low, or high up, or close, or back up to add context. |

Emptinessby samanwarComment: Is it HDR, sharpening or a transporter beam dematerializing the bench? Nice job getting an interesting perspective with strong lines, but the processing is a bit overdone. |

Broken Park Benchby EssAreDubyaComment: I'm not sure the framing works here. Consider getting closer to emphasize the damage, or backing up and moving the subject off center to add context. |

A Place of Restby Nocturnal_DelusionComment: The sky, water and snow play nicely off of each other here. Nice tonality, though I might consider burning in a bit under the bench. Looks like a peaceful spot. |

Nobody is Waitingby pixelpigComment: Yikes! I just don't see how the negative colors add anything here. Interesting patterns though. |

The romanticism survives the wintersby ELLIPSComment: Nice concept. I like the how the tall trees contrast with the length(depth?) of the scene. I'd still like to see a little more to the right side (to accentuate the length/depth). |

Art Appreciation by stevieianComment: Very nicely composed, but does the encroaching darkness mean something? The sepia tone along with the shadows seeping in from above (an unnatural direction) and the extremely bold shapes and lines create an imposing, almost threatening, mood. A brighter (emotionally) scene may help to convey the discovery associated with art appreciation, but instead I question whether she is lost or otherwise in danger. Very dramatic, but I can't determine your intention. I guess it may be the title that's throwing me. |

Midnight Lossby Moose408Comment: The concept and execution work well together here, but the story is incomplete. There is an overall softness which, along with the deep mysterious shodows and intriguing colors, creates an appropriate mood. But there is no context. In a wider shot, cold and impersonal may work, but when I'm already this close I want to know more. A prop or other element may help to finish this shot. |
