I took the same picture from exactly the same spot June, 2017. The sun was setting to the right side at about 1:00. I like your shot better. The tones are more even and the color is sharper. Great job.

I was near this point on my trip with my son last June. I can relate to your experience as my son is quite a good photographer. The clarity of your picture is amazing. My entry in this challenge was taken in the plane on the way to the Grand Canyon last year! Congratulations on a real keeper!
