Interesting technique. The title suggests the feet are moving quickly, but the background looks like it is moving at the same speed so I am guessing they were both stationary and you moved the camera. I wonder how it would have looked if you kept the camera steady and swung the shoes from the laces? He was quite an athlete!

I must have voted on this challenge late at night. I did not appreciate how beautiful a picture this is. The lighting, DOF, balance, and composition are perfect. Congrats on the red, but I honestly feel you deserve the blue.

Ha! I was 22 YO at the time (before dental school)! I think I had a drink to kill the taste which was also out of character as I rarely drink alcohol!
