after the fireby rozComment: Ah! I want to pet his head! Does his name tag jingle when he walks? I like the perspective getting down to his level.
I have critiqued and examined every submission in this challenge and this is my favorite! My choice for the blue. |

Lewesby DistantColoursComment: Very interesting minimalistic approach. There is a lot to be seen in this scene. A large field with grazing sheep (?). People walking in the field makes me wonder their intent. The interesting pattern of trees and fence. Was this taken with a drone? |

Going Homeby grahamgatorComment: I like your artistic presentation of the trees seemingly reaching for the sky. It has almost a Van Gogh swirling surreal feeling to it. |

Reflectionby MonaComment: Sometimes nature does not cooperate with the image we have in our eyes. I think your intent and subject matter is interesting. I wish Mother Nature had given you a more interesting sky. Just my opinion but I wonder how it would look if you came back on another day when the water is more calm in front And there is a sharper reflection in the water. The break in the water around the island and the ripples in front breaks up the continuity for me. On the other hand you may like the texture and the grain created by the ripples. It̢۪s just a matter of taste. Isn̢۪t that what art is all about? |

at the lakeby primabarbaraComment: I like the way the tree branches frame the building. It also helps to block out the upper part of the sky where it isn̢۪t as interesting as the bottom 2/3rds of the picture. I think you have done a good job with what you have here. |

beachscape twoby HUETHComment: I always try to understand what the photographer was thinking when they compose and take a picture. At first I see a scene of dirt and brush, interesting clouds and your title which suggests a beach scene. Then I see the smokestack in the background and I wonder what its relevance is in your composition. Maybe I̢۪m reading too much into it but I̢۪m imagining that you are making a statement about the environment, possibly the effects of global warming and man̢۪s role in it all. Am I right? If that is the case I give you high marks for a very introspective and controversial creative composition. |

winter-around-5-PMby mariucaComment: I like your title in that it makes sense of what you were thinking about when you took this picture. Of course it̢۪s not a glamorous mind blowing landscape, but it shows an average day in the city as people are walking home from work. Everyone can relate. |

Hopeby KenComment: You have made a good attempt at showing the details of a somewhat gloomy day. It̢۪s very hard to expose the snow adequately without making the rest of the scene too dark and visa versa. |

The other sideby GeorgesBogaertComment: I always like reflections in water. This has a very dark feeling to it. I would like to see how it looks in B&W and bringing up the brightness a little to define the buildings and clouds. |
