I love the processing of this image. A key component to the emotion of this image. The composition is wonderful. The whole image makes me want to know more about what is going on in the moments either side of this one instance. Beautiful.

This is beautiful. I'd describe this as desktop art... a beautiful, minimalist image that could grace the screens of millions of computers around the world. I love the detail in the bird.

Bubba's

This is a wonderful, cultural, piece of art. So much information, telling a wonderful story or summer in the country. Mother checks out the options, as the boys lose patience and just want some sweet relief from the heat. In the backgroud, the recliner where the shop attendant, one assumes it's "Bubba", goes to relax between the questions and requests for service from the customers. Wonderful detail and composition.

Drip... drip... drip... this moment in time capture, and frozen, still has the dynamics that were there, then. The waves radiating from each drop, the waves interacting with eachother... superimposing. The light reflecting and refracting... the shadows and highlights... it's a physics experiment being done by nature and you've captured it so well.

Towards The Within

One of the more traditional type landscape images in the challenge, but it's the little elements that take this from an outstandingly beautiful "landscape" to being an excellent work of art. The lighting is wonderful, as is the detail and composition. I love the people within the image... they add an emotional anchor for the viewer, and makes one wonder about their story, and their connection, if there is or isn't one. Add to all this, the art on the building, and it's connection to one of the people... the intrigue and questions further build... is that Clive? Is he the artist? Excellent work of art. It's Ansel Adams with a difference. It's wonderful. Reminds me of an Australian summer, where bushfires ravage large swathes of land. You've triggered emotion and memory with this wonderful image, which alone makes it art, but you've done with with an aesthetically pleasing image that would look beautiful on a gallery or home wall.
