Matrioshkaby ChiquiComment: I like the simplicity! I'm honestly not crazy about the background color (maybe black would have been more dramatic?) but I still like this a lot. |

Lone Roseby timj351Comment: Good eye! I like the patterns created by the fence. And nice job spotting the lone flower in the scene. |

Rose Bugby smfsnowindComment: Seems like it could be a teeny bit more crisp overall, but it's a nice macro nonetheless. |

Calmby eikidigiComment: Nice reflection - great colors! I might have tried cropping out the tiny round thing at the bottom left, but as a boat lover, it's still a nice shot. :) |

Dine -Inby MusicmanComment: An interesting subject, and interesting experiment with desaturation. I'm not sure this was the best use of the color desaturation method, to be honest. I would probably try to use that technique to highlight the subject of a shot, but I'm not sure that the guy's shirt (or whatever it is he is wearing) is really the "subject" here that you want to highlight. But it's definitely interesting to experiement with this kind of thing. - 6 |

The Dark Halfby mciComment: Kinda spooky :) I suppose it meets the challenge, but in kind of a weird way. In other words, I'm guessing that your intent was to highlight the left side of the face ("the subject") while leaving the other side dark. But since the other half of the face is "implied," it still seems centered to me... but that's just my rambling. It's still an interesting shot with a cool mood to it. |

Leap of Faithby rcrawfordComment: Wheeee! Looks like fun! Nice job of capturing the leap at a great point... and without falling in yourself! |

Aqua Skiesby ArtifactsComment: Well, I'm afraid the border just about ruined a really interesting shot here. I really like the subject, even though I don't quite know what it is. The detail in the metal (?) is really nice, and I like the color of the sky. The green was just not the best choice of border, in my opinion :( |

Misty Mtn. Windmillby sagestudioComment: If I hadn't been in a bit of a hurry last night, my submission would have been a windmill also! Now I'm kinda glad I didn't submit it, because yours would have kicked my butt! :) Beautiful composition -- I love the landscape aroud it, and the subtle colors in the sky. - 10! |

Turbulenceby AaronComment: Cool shot! I'm assuming you desaturated all of the colors except for the yellows in the building. Makes for an interesting, dramatic shot. My only nitpick would be that the desaturation kinda added the element of excessive grain to the sky, but it's still interesting. |
