The Beaconby alanfreedComment: Hey, there's no shame in being in the bottom of this pack :)
I had a much better idea that I spent several hours on very early one morning, but Mother Nature refused to cooperate... so I went with this as a last minute idea. I still like the shot, and enjoyed the rather consistent recommendations, although the actual landscape of this scene makes it rather difficult to come up with the vantage point many people are suggesting.
This was a fun challenge despite my personal outcome, and this is certainly a batch that I'll review from time to time for inspiration! |

The Walkby L1Comment: I like the concept and toning of this one quite a bit. My only nitpick for this shot is that the guy's head/hat seem to get a little lost in the background. A nice use of sepia (something I'm not usually a fan of). |

Sunset at Castle Hill by BobsterLobsterComment: Part of the fun of this challenge is guessing who might be behind the lens for these shots since the ribbon winners are among the better known, and we've learned their styles a bit. This reminds me of the work of heida, whose work has certainly been an inspiration to many of us. Even though I doubt that the sky was really that color in the original, I find this to be a beautiful shot with wonderfully warm colors. It should certainly become a poster on someone's wall! |

Early Morning Seascape by jonpinkComment: Wow -- beautiful! This looks like one of those shots they'd use as a background for a scripture reading. Very peaceful... the long exposure made this a really slick shot. Kudos all around! |

The Splash of a Kiwiby terjeComment: It's certainly hard to pick a winner with the quality entries of this particular challenge... but I think you may have done it here! For now, this is my only 10 of the challenge. Very impressive work! |

Nature in all its Complexityby BAMartinComment: This shot prompted me to grab an old photo album -- I have a shot from that same vantage point! This feels a little tilted to me... like it should be rotated clockwise just a hair. Thanks for the memories! |

Bang! -- Sore Loserby graphicfunkComment: This was a 10 from me -- I'm even more impressed that this wasn't "staged" motion! I really thought you had stuck those pieces into place in some way. |
