I've got one quite similar and was playing with rather drastic versions of editing, too. Mine didn't come out quite this nifty, though.

This was indeed one of my favorites in the challenge - I gave you an 8. I love this kind of light/shadow play and it's ever so challenging to capture the rays without washing out parts. Your choice of the angle for composition with only a bit of sky really helps in that respect, I think. Nice choice of a very lush green setting, too. I was thinking maybe you could crop a bit off the left, but when I tried that, I didn't like it as well. It seems nicely balanced as is. Another 6+, another good placing. Even if you did steal the wife's shot and she beat you anyway. :-)

Wow - nice muted colors! You might want to crop out the spot in the very middle of the water, and consider cropping a bit off the top to have the horizon two thirds up from the bottom. Nice capture!

When voting, I thought this very much looked like a metal tree of some kind but I wasn't sure about the fence part. It does form a nice abstract. I think it would be kinda cool to see it in color - shadows don't have to be gray. I think the fact it's a little fuzzy and ghosted in places may have affected the score, and I suspect part of that fuzziness is the slow shutter speed, though it does kinda create a neat effect - almost haunted looking.

Heh! I like this one! I love that you used filters to get the colors - I'd never have known that. Very clever! It looks vibrant and rich, but not overly processed to me. I like how the figure and the shadow are both in the frame, but the shadow more fully developed in the "action" by being attached to the rope. Met the challenge well and would make a nice poster for a kid's room, I think!

Definitely meets the challenge, but lacks a little in interest other than meeting the challenge. The silhouette is pleasing, but I think it might have been better on a softer surface since your model is a delicate young woman (it appears she is here - she may be a total tomboy for all I know!) I also think it might have been nice to see just a bit of the caster of the shadow, ie find an angle such that you get just a bit of her hands or maybe the back of her head. Another way to add some interest would be to have something in the shot, such as the edge of the bed or a nightstand with some flowers on it or such.

This is a great close-up of a marvelous creature! A bit of an adjustment with levels will bring out the white a bit more on his fur.

This is sweet, Judy. I didn't vote in this challenge (didn't think I could take all the green!) but this is subtle, not overly annoyingly green, and incredibly crisp, rich, and detailed.
