Interesting - I just read over some of the comments and I have to disagree with quite a few. I like the light, and I like it blown. I like the motion of the hand caused by the slow shutter speed. Composition works very well, and I rather think the softness/lack of sharp focus lends itself nicely to this picture and its tone.

Great finish in a very competitive challenge! This is an exceptional macro; what really makes it unique are the little pink curls and the one short petal.

First and foremost, congratulations on the blue and the 7+ score! A lovely composition and very creative use of paper. Needless to say, I think it met the challenge. What interests me most is the post processing - I like the use of blur here, and the changing of the background color is very intriguing. I actually prefer the composite with the different background colors - looks like a Warhol kind of thing. On the "I'd probably have given this a 7" side of things, this strikes me more as graphic art than a photograph. I've no doubt it would sell very well as a stock photo/graphic art piece and you may want to look into that. But my favorite photograph on your top row is still your first Kermie, with your second Santa Maria very closely behind it.

For a "I don't know what I'm doing" shot, this finished pretty darn well. I think the simple, balanced composition, the crisp colors, and the very clean lines create a very pleasing picture of fireworks, but what sealed the deal was the red center in the green burst and how well that complimented the other burst. Good job with the PP, too.

Composition is really nice here, giving the scene and the fireworks burst a solid "base". I also like that the burst isn't all in the frame, though I can't tell you why I like it that way. You may want to try levels to darken the sky just a bit more to give it a bit more punch.

Nice exposure shooting directly into the sunset! You may want to play with the saturation a bit to deepen the pinks, but the way you have it here is really quite nice. Peaceful and delicate in tones and color. Nice composition as well.

You had a great time at the fireworks, didn't you? Congrats on yet another new picture on the top row! The colors here are great and the focus quite crisp. And yes, I can see the star - very cool! Only thing I can see to change is a very minor stray white bit at the bottom that could be cloned - and that's really a very minor nitpick. Lovely choice for the challenge!
