A surrealistic tribute to Stan Laurelby Rino63Comment: This is a very interesting picture and pretty well done (though I'm on the fence about the border). I do have to admit that I'm not sure of the challenge connection. |

Is this what we call progress?by willhadlComment: The byproducts of progress - good choice for the challenge. I think I might have preferred a more focused look at the car in the upper right, since the broken pane in the front grabs the eye first, then directs it to that second car. |

Death in Progressby WillSnapsComment: I see the power structure as "progress" but am not sure I get the connection to the angel or death. I do like the blown sky behind the power grid - that's kinda cool. Not so sure about the statue, though. |

Beach Music - Boombox->Discman->Ipodby sabrizzComment: Good choice of items to show progression! The lighting/white balance combination is a little off to me, causing the yellowish cast over everything. A tweak in levels to bring out the highlights might help a bit. |

H. A. R. F.by kombizzComment: Benefit of the doubt as I suspect I don't recognize this as progress due to a language/cultural difference. |

No Fingers!by mpetersComment: Idea is very good and portrayed OK. I think I would have preferred actual silverware to plastic. |

Legacyby mosesmComment: I love how the angle makes it look like they're nearly attached. Good job getting the prop nearly stopped! |

The invasion of our Wetlandsby KivetComment: Good choice for the challenge; lovely blues in the sky! I'd crop a bit off the top to bring the horizon up a bit closer to the 2/3's point for balance. While the sky is gorgeous, it's the reflection in the water that I like best and would like to see it take a bit more prominence. Nice job! |

Death of Obsolescenceby cutlassdude70Comment: I like the placement of the ipod and the earbuds; the shadow falling on the "old" technology is good, too. Only thing I can't figure is why the cassette is wrapped in cord. If it's to symbolize being "strangled" by the progressive technology, it would be more effective if the cord were visibly attached to the earbuds or the newer device. |
