Sadly, the little fellow (or gal) gets a little lost here. It might have been more of a "story" so to speak had you been able to get away from the trash can on the left (I think that's what it is) and had the gent in the t-shirt been elsewhere. Candids, in my experience, are a whole lot of trial and error and waiting.

Hmmm. I think I see your point with the title (waiting for the light to cross) but I'm not sure it makes for a particularly impactful or meaningful photograph to me. Interesting bits to explore, though - the glow of "WAY in Subway - what's up with that? And the arm hanging out of the police car... A bit blotchy - a cell phone camera, maybe?
