Going somewhere - most likely in a head windby RangerComment: What a great focal point and I like the way you have repetition/ symmetry in the image from the trees and then the asymmetrical from the lone cyclist. Good choice to include huge expanse of empty sky. |

Levers and Slots (or maybe just a hairbrush)by dsa157Comment: This is very striking - I can look at it with different scales - a hairbrush - a toaster size mystery machine, a strange piece of modern architecture... most cool. I think I'd convert to black and white to lose that purple tinge on the base but you may have wanted that edge of colour. |

Go Speed Racer!by welcherComment: Nice curved line from corner down to foreground - gives a strong composition. Like low DOF (but then I'm a big fan of shallow DOF images more often than not) and black and white works well. |

Old Rusty Nailby dsidwellComment: Wow! That's incredible! Great textures and the way the wood is almost black and white works so well against that rich rusty red. This really is wonderful! |

Butterflyby JeanComment: I'm not sure I could ever see a beautiful butterfly as mundane but this is a stunning shot, well chosen background, well composed image, it's so unusual to see a nature shot that is so modern and clean. Very striking. |

just another dayby grigrigirlComment: I'm not sure I could ever think of a beautiful young boy as mundane so, for me, it's not a good fit to the challenge theme, but I do like the image. I like the shadows and the high contrast adds interest. |

Guitarby shareinncComment: This is a great macro and I love the focus on something I wouldn't normally look closely at. The colours also work well. I'd prefer the horizontal wire to be more accurately horizontal in the frame and the cylinder around which it's wrapped to be more accurately vertical - I keep tilting my head subconsciously when I view this... But I like it very much. |
