Post photo editing involved a slight blur and brightening applied to the chair. Some reflected stars on frost on the ground were also cloned out.

Nice shot Andy - good, low noise levels. I tried a shot of Orion for the Black challenge.

Thanks for all the helpful comments - what makes DPC so worthwhile. I've never taken a shot like this and would never have contemplated doing so were it not for DPC. I'll now work on this idea and improve it!

Somehow I could see this as a book cover. A really nice shot that has a simple originality to it. The only thing bothering me in this is the grass at the bottom, I would have liked everything very dark except for the stars and the chair. But even that is knitpicking! Score: 9 Great job! Good luck!

nice negative space - I'm sure it was tough to get that chair lighted well, but I think it still has a little too much light around on the ground.

like that I can make out Orion's belt - would have liked to see more stars. Dramatic composition and good use of negative space. Chair seems a bit fuzzy?
