Metaphorically speaking, this is one of the stranger images ever submitted to DPC :-) I do wish you'd managed to avoid the hot spot in the sky; the rest of it is sublime. Will it score well as a "success"? Gawd knows... But it works for me.

I have to say, I don't like the principle being expressed here, that a poor child is somehow a failure. Although I suppose he may FEEL like one, and that makes it real... Not affecting my score anyway, just something I wanted to mention.

It's a pity the image has been saved so small, we really can't see enough detail in the face to connect with this one.
