Because Gas is Too Expensive

I wish the title weren't what it is; it seems to be pointing me rather heavy-handedly. I'd like the title "transportation" better, which alludes to a lot of things without forcing any of them on us. Great shot, anyway :-)

EXCELLENT use of selective desaturation :-) It doesn't shout at you, but it makes its point. I like this very much. She seems so resigned... A pause that refreshes would seem to be in order here :-)

I don't understand the title, because to me the image in no way whatsoever resembles the work of Norman Rockwell. It's a nice shot, though...

The famous V-J Day image was shot in Times Square by Alfred Eisenstaedt, not Cartier-Bresson:

Not that it matters to the quality of the image, mind you, just a footnote for ya :-)

Waiting to Die

Comment:
I strongly dislike the title, which seems to me to be demeaning: how do you KNOW she is "waiting to die"? It's like you're imposing your perception on the viewer, trying to steer him in a certain direction. The image does not require this; it stands very well on its own, it's a strong image.

I love the concept here. The execution is so/so IMO, but this does not lessen my enjoyment of the image one bit. Well-conceived and decently delivered to us :-)
