Freckle Faceby QartComment: I'm glad to see this do so well. One of my top picks. Fantastic image, beautifully processed. A portrait with soul. |

Applied Geometryby zackdezonComment: Congrats on top 10 !
I don't believe you're helping things with your revised versions. To my eye, the actual entry is vastly better than either of the revisions. |

Also sprach zarathustraby OdedComment: Outstanding image. It draws me in, makes me want to read it cover-to-cover. It's reminiscent of the great jjbeguin crowd-shot of a few years ago, though of course it's completely different. But it has that same quality of the single face in the crowd sucking you in irrevocably.
My only problem with this is that it's not quite sharp enough, crisp enough. Still, hell of an image. |

Sightingby spencerwoodComment: I think this is a wonderful image, so deadpan and understated. I can't see a thing I'd change, including the slight cutting off of the hats left and right, which I think is priceless. I'm assuming you're not doing very well, score-wise, and that's a crying shame. This image is just completely fascinating, metaphorical as all get out. Is it an air show or are they waiting for the shuttle to land? Both occurred to me as "explanations", but of course i do not need one... |

Storm Clouds as Low Tideby kevip6Comment: Love the PP here, that will come as no surprise. Unfortunately, to my eye there's a huge leveling problem going on here, and it's a strange one:
The image FEELS as if it is leaning over tot he right significantly. I ran some guidelines on it to check, and in fact he horizon itself is very nearly spot on level. But the other horizontal elements are all off kilter slightly, and all stacked tot he right side pretty much, so it just FEELS leany in a very uncomfortable way to me. I used skew adjustment to make it feel "right", and when I had finished that the horizon was tilted a little bit the other way, but overall the balance seemed better.
I'll be interested to see if others comment on this. I gave you a very good score regardless, this just nags at me. Feel free to PM me if you wish to discuss, I am done with the voting on this image so anonymity does not matter here. |

Givin' it Someby TacTZillaComment: The framing on this one is immensely appealing to me, and moves it beyond the typical bike-shot to something much more dynamic and intriguing. The hyper-saturation of the colors is perfect for this subject as well. Nicely done. |
