Last One Standing by acoppolaComment: That's utterly negative, yup. Totally negative: no positive space at all, really :-) Fine accomplishment. Vaguely reminds me of this one by Bergiekat:
Congrats on your first ribbon! |

1120596by pixelpigComment: "Abstract Impressionism" is an interesting thought. From my point of view, this borrows more from abstract expressionism than it does from any impressionist techniques, in the sense that impressionism is essentially a way of capturing the recognizable essence of the familiar, whereas expressionism is more about revealing the hidden essence of the artist.
But of course, in THIS "challenge" we're dealing with "photographic impressionism", and who the heck knows what that means? Or even cares? I share your fascination with squiggles of light, myself :-) |

Zaca Station Roadby GermaineComment: I actually KNOW Zaca Station Road! I wonder how many in DPC can say that? The image is an interesting experiment. I'd never have thought of LB-stacking, myself :-) |

Mesa Verdeby pmichaudComment: I see where you're going with this, but it seems curiously flat and washed-out. Where I'd expect a feeling of depth, solidity, and age, I take away, instead, a sort of gauzy insubstantiality that seems at odds with the gravitas of the place. |
