That's utterly negative, yup. Totally negative: no positive space at all, really :-) Fine accomplishment. Vaguely reminds me of this one by Bergiekat:

Congrats on your first ribbon!

I love how the horizon is dead-center and the reflections make for interesting symmetry.

Stunning shot! Congrats on 1) your blue ribbon, and your first ribbon, 2) a personal best and 3) a 7! It doesn't get better. Well deserved.

WOOOO HOOOO! So psyched about my first ribbon! and breaking 7.0!

This was taken at a lake in Perryville, AR. Not Flag Lake, Here is a link to the exact location: google map

I tried applying the rule of thirds here but I liked the centered composition so much better... Rules are meant to be broken!

Thanks everyone for the comments and votes! and please check out giveabike.com

Great shot, but I'd really like to see it with the rule of thirds applied to both the horizon line and the placement of the tall tree. Still a very nice interpretation of the challenge though.

simple and beautiful. the reflections are perfect, seems that the fog can be seen across the lake, I love the stillness of it all

Loved it straight away, although the horizontal line cuts the image in half, and the tree cuts the image the other way too, a better composition would have scored very high, but I love it anyway, well done for an interesting shot.
